WHAT ARE U WAITING FOR? 2015
BRANSHOLME ESTSATE + NORTHPOINT SHOPPING CENTRE. HULL.
2015
An activation.
Truth or dare?
We hijacked the tannoy. You taught us to headstand. We created a new narrative together.
A series of interactive challenges, performance trail and invitation to share your dreams before bringing them to life.
One week in a shopping centre on a north east Hull estate.
What are you passionate about?
There was a…
a loop pedal
a game of truth or dare
a treasure trail
dreams and hopes balloons
a microphone
Your voices. Remixed.
You spoke your dreams out loud.
We hid from the security guard together.
You were flipping ace on look out.
An immersive public project and commission devised in a public gathering place with the spirit of the neighbourhood who live, work and play there. Celebrating, declaring and exploring your hope, passions and dreams. A live project co-created with artists, a Hull estate & shopping centre.
Performed, devised and facilitated by these three extraordinary performers, humans and artists: Finlay McGuigan, Philippa Hogg, Rachel Long
We loved getting to know you Bransholme.
There was a flash mob, competitions, a games, intimate encounters in photo booths, you wrote letters and a story happened in a mattress shop.
And we danced. Lots.
You composed a song live and the town heard it through the tannoy.
You came back the next day with your cousin Ben to beat your score. They brought their mates.
You challenged us
We dared you
then you chased Finlay around the estate
we grew a bit together.
it was good.
You made sounds into the microphone with Philippa who needed an orchestra to complete her song.
Your truths remixed into a new radio station. Bouncy balls. Lots.
You changed the future.
